This blog is centered on political elections in Llano County, Texas, and those that are statewide and national.  Moreover, we are most interested in saving D.C. from the Left, namely the Democrat Party. We have interest in races in other regional elections in Texas and in other states in the U.S. that we think are very important this year. Much will be added through this year.  Here are Llano County positions in the county, regional, statewide and national offices that we Llanoans vote in. But we can help others places, too, and intend to. We hope to find ways to help Texas maintain a solid majority of Republican Texan Congressional Seats this November and certainly we value our Senator Ted Cruz very much.

2018 MIDTERM ELECTIONS IN TEXAS

U.S. Senator is our inimitable Ted Cruz. There was no contest in the primaries but he faced a well-funded, never-stop talker, far left Dem guy from El Paso who gave him a race. Very ambitious, amazingly unaware of true history of the reality and the meanings and results of governing practiced here and elsewhere in the world, unaware of true practices that the USA has been so successful for so many generations, apparently unaware of what economics amounts to and what businesses actually do, no evident knowledge of technologies of anything, things like mathematics and engineering and biology hardly worth learning…he does know what job he wants right now, a way to be paid boucous money and be safe to hold on to it at least for at least four years and have lots of power to get his way, whatever it might be the time of the day, which day of the week or who care what year it is when you’re getting your way. Actually, running for the office works well for him very well…he has had lots of money pouring into his purse for running around talking, talking, talking….

Llano County’s Primary Republican Elections

MAY 22. 2018 RUN-OFFS:

MAUREEN RIGGS won the run-off to  become Justice of Peace for Precinct 2!

She certainly was our Citizens’ Choice for the election and we congratulate Ms. Riggs, a person well-prepared to become a J.P. for Llano County.

(Judicial District Touching Llano County)

Justice of the 3rd Court Appeals District, Place 6:

MIKE TOTH vs. DONNA DAVIDSON

The Citizens’ Choice is DONNA DAVIDSON.

It appears that MIKE TOTH won the race; we regret our loss of Donna Davidson but we do respect the choice of a majority of voters and we wish much success for Judge Mike

PREVIOUS NEWS:

WE NOW HAVE RUN-OFFS IN SEVERAL OF OUR CONGRESSIONAL DISTRICTS RESEARCHED AND HERE ARE OUR CHOICES IN FOUR RUN-OFFS IN DISTRICTS WE FIND ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR NOW:….

UPDATE:

WE NOW HAVE THE RESULTS OF MAY 22 RUN-OFFS HELD.  AS FOLLOWING….

(1) OUR CHOICE HERE IS NOT SUCCESSFUL:

Texas 5th Congressional District:

Bunni Pounds is our choice.  The 5th District is chiefly in Dallas.  Rep. Jeb Hensarling is retiring.  His own choice and the choices of most conservative groups is Bunni Pounds.  She has experience as his assistant in Congress and the House Freedom Caucus, Chairman Mark Meadows; Mia Love, Congresswoman from Utah; Texas Rights to Life; and Maggie’s List STRONGLY endorse her. We strongly choose her as the winner in the run-off of May 22, early voting already beginning.

The Citizens’ Choice is Bunni Pounds.

Our choice was not successful in this race.  Lance Gooden brought in more votes that Bunni Pounds.  We regret the loss of Bunni Pounds but we respect the choice of a majority of voters and we wish the best of good luck and success for Lance Gooden in his run for the representation of Texas’ Congressional District 5.

(2) HERE OUR CHOICE IS SUCCESSFUL:

Texas 6th District

Ron Wright is our choice in the race in the 6th District.  He is fully supported by Senator Ted Cruz and the Texas state legislators support him; he will be gladly to join the House Freedom Caucus (HFC). His opponent does not particularly wanting to work with the HFC and he is ahead in polls among his fellow Texans in Tarrant County.

The Citizens’ Choice is Ron Wright.

RON WRIGHT won the run-off and we will continue to support him through the General Election so that he becomes the Representative of Texas’ 6th Congressional

(3) HERE, TOO, OUR CHOICE IS SUCCESSFUL:

Texas’ District 21

Chip Roy is the man to become the Representative of Texas 21!  He is enthusiastic supported by Senator Cruz, ex-Gov. Rick Perry, Club for Growth, House Freedom Caucus and every other candidate in the race except for the one who came in second. Please scroll down for more information on Chip Roy.

The Citizens’ Choice is Chip Roy.

Chip Roy won the May 22 election, thank Goodness, and we strongly support him in his race for the Congressional seat in the November 6 election.  We MUST election him to the Congress to help us save the very foundation of our country, the true constitution and a true republic!

(4) HERE, TOO, OUR CHOICE IS SUCCESSFUL:

Texas 27th District

The 27th District is choosing someone to take Farenthold’s seat in the U.S. House.  Michael Cloud is our outstanding choice for this position.  Please scroll down and see a good deal of our information about him in our earlier entries about our congressional districts coming up. And, too, he has a good website in his name.

The Citizens’ Choice is Michael Cloud.

MICHAEL CLOUD won the run-off and we are genuinely delighted that he won the race.  Michael Cloud is an independent businessman, a steady, believing and thoughtful Christian truly supportive of our constitution and the Republic we have built; he is true to his steadfastness in maintaining his home and family, his community, and his country.

REPUBLICAN SEATS

WE CITIZENS OF U.S. DISTRICT 11 ARE BLESSED WITH MIKE CONAWAY’S CONTINUING UNFLAGGING REPRESENTATION OF US IN THE U.S HOUSE.  OUR U.S. REP IS SEATING ONCE AGAIN TO REPRESENT US AND WE CONGRATULATE HIM ONCE AGAIN.

IN LAST FALL I WROTE THAT OUR TEXAS’ REPRESENTIVE IN U.S. DISTRICT 23, WILL HURD,  WAS NOT OPPOSED IN THE REPUBLICAN PRIMARY, BUT HE CERTAINLY WOULD HAVE A DEMOCRAT TO BEAT IN NOVEMBER. (THAT’S U.S. HOUSE DISTRICT 23, STRETCHING FROM SAN ANTONIO TO JUST EAST OF EL PASO.)

His race is a tough one coming up on November 6. His record is fine. He retired from the CIA after around 8 years’ service and ran for the seat and was sworn in in 2015.  He has done a good job of threading that needle for matters in the varied eyes of the fine Texans in District 23. Definitely,

WE CHOOSE WILL HURD.

Rep. Hurd has a website and he most certainly could use support/help each and every one of us.

FORTUNATELY, WILL DID WIN.

MORE DETAILS ON RUN-OFF RESULTS:

 TEXAS U.S. HOUSE DISTRICT 21

CHIP ROY

Representative Lamar Smith, the incumbent, is going to retire.

Candidate Chip Roy: “WHY I’M RUNNING”

“It’s past time for the American people to reclaim our God-given right to live free from government interference – to break the back of the Washington establishment and end the never-ending cycle of politicians who campaign as conservatives only to let the swamp run the show – telling us they’re not for amnesty but then supporting it, telling us they’re repealing Obamacare when they’re not, telling us they’re for balanced budgets while laughing off the President’s 5-year balanced budget. Enough. It’s time for genuine, proven leadership to fight for our children against a tide of government regulation, spending, and coercion that threatens their future. Together, we will seize this moment in history to unite Americans around our shared commitment to limited constitutional government and our right to live free in our communities and according to our faith.”

DISTRICT 27:

Michael Cloud

Michael Cloud owns his business Bright Idea Media.  He serves as the Media & Communications Director at Faith Family Church in Victoria, Texas. He is married and has children.

He has been very active in the State Republican Executive Committee and has been the Chair of Victoria County Republican Party.

He is well-versed in American history and has put his mind around some of the best words of the gifted founders of the USA.

On his web page he writes, “…the ingenuity of the American People is freedom to thrive in an environment unencumbered by federal bureaucracy. I want to see all businesses thrive in Texas.”  Certainly his web is clear and to the point.

This writer strongly favors Cloud.

I am most ready for successful businessmen instead of career politicians taking seats in our Congress.
